Zubair Alexander
Chief Information Security Officer & Chief Technology Officer
Zubair Alexander serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Innovative Technology Solutions. He leads the company’s strategic efforts to secure and protect its information and technologies from both external and internal threats. In addition, he oversees the company’s cybersecurity and other IT service offerings to its business clients.
Zubair’s IT consulting and training experience spans over 30 years and covers a wide range of spectrum: senior executive, advisory board member, IT trainer, consultant, security architect, ethical hacker, digital forensic investigator, cybersecurity strategist, network engineer, systems administrator, technical advisor, web designer, author, technical editor, college instructor, and public speaker.
Enterprise security has been Zubair’s passion since he wrote his first book in 2001 titled Microsoft ISA Server 2000. He’s a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), a Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), and a Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA). He has written extensively on security and privacy topics for over two decades and have offered training/consulting services to the U.S. Air Force, Army, and Navy on cybersecurity matters.
Zubair has been a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) since 1996 and has received the coveted international Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for 12 consecutive years. He has also earned over 30 technical certificates.
In June of 2017, Zubair joined the EC-Council’s Certified Network Defender International Advisory Board. He has also served on the technical advisory boards of all three major Seattle colleges: Seattle Central College, North Seattle College, and South Seattle College.
Zubair holds a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics Engineering, and an Associate of Arts in Computer Information Systems.
